There are so many reasons to read the Bible. It is God’s message to us. It helps our faith to grow as we see God’s power, love, and faithfulness. It provides direction in our lives, comfort when we are hurting, and strength when we are weak.
In order to encourage this valuable habit, we are challenging our church family to read at least 1 chapter of the Bible each day for the next 100 days (we actually have 105 days from start to finish). The preacher has provided some suggestions for Bible reading: the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and/or John), the Book of Acts (the early days of the church), Genesis, the Psalms. Every part of God’s Word is valuable. Our goal is to read 5000 chapters as a church body by the end of the year.
Join us as we accept the challenge!
