Our Church History

We’ve been here on the west side of Indianapolis since 1923. 

At that time FGCC was on the outskirts of Indy.  As the city grew, so did FGCC.  Fleming Garden's attendance grew, and its influence on Indy's west side reached its zenith in the 1970’s. 

As Indianapolis faced economic and urban growing pains in the 1980’s through the early 2000’s, so did the Fleming Garden family.  FGCC's attendance and influence dropped accordingly. 

Over the past 10 years, FGCC has experienced a revival and revitalization.  This has been due to an intentional effort to be a vital part of the Fleming Garden neighborhood.

We, the Fleming Garden family, believe that God has planted us here to be His lighthouse in the community.  As we share the Gospel, we intentionally reach out to Indy's west side in as many ways as possible. 

Fleming Garden Christian Church has opened its doors to a Spanish-speaking congregation.  As a result, two church families are ministering in this community every day of the week.
